The Toledo Area Gay and Lesbian Affiliation (TAGALA) newsletter was created in 1983 as a collaborative publication by Toledo LGBTQIA+ groups and organizations. Up until its final issue in 2019, the newsletter served Toledo's queer community as a source for political news, local resources, community announcements, event advertisements, and much more.
Today, these hundreds of issues of TAGALA act as a chronicle of Toledo's LGBTQIA+ community over a remarkable span of time. In the newsletters, you see organizations come and go as community needs, concerns, and conversations change. And all in a specifically Toledo fashion.
